“I am the daughter of daughters who carried power in their hips, wisdom in their breasts, and fire in their prayers. I am their echo and their evolution.”

About
Hey love, I’m Mia Lynn, and I invite you to know me.
I’m a birth doula and certified project manager based in Roseville, California—but more than that, I’m a space-holder for Black mothers navigating some of the most powerful, vulnerable, and sacred moments of their lives.
I didn’t come to this work by accident. I came through lived experience—through the ache of not being heard, and the fire that rises when you know something has to change.
When I gave birth to my daughter Emma, I was determined not to die. I did everything not to deliver in a hospital due to the astounding rates of maternal Black mortality and even sought out alternative spaces to deliver. Yet and still, I was mishandled. I spoke up. I named my symptoms. I was dismissed. And because of that, we ended up delivering her at home, alone. No nurse. No doula. No midwife. Just me, my husband, God, and the sacredness of a moment that should’ve been met with care, not crisis. That moment traumatized and changed me. It showed me the cost of being unseen in a moment so vulnerable, and it planted the seed for the kind of doula I knew I needed to become.
Years before, my son Mason—brilliant, neurodivergent, full of fire—had already shown me what it means to advocate fiercely and love out loud. Navigating his care taught me empathy, how to speak truth to power, how to find my voice even when systems made it hard, and how to celebrate and protect Black children in a world that doesn’t always know how.
I bring all of that with me when I show up for you.
With a background in project management, I know how to move through complex systems and keep things on track. But more importantly, I know how to stay grounded in what really matters—your voice, your experience, your joy, your safety. I believe in marrying care with competency, presence with protection, planning with peace.
This isn’t just work for me. It’s purpose. It’s healing. It’s legacy.
And I’m honored to walk with you.
